Ready for Work: Champions for Career- and College-Ready Graduates in Prince George’s County helps young people of Prince George’s County, MD successfully graduate career- and college-ready – enabling youth to enter the workforce prepared to contribute to the economic development of Prince George’s County and the region.
In partnership with Prince George’s County Administration, Public Schools, nonprofits, business leaders and philanthropy, Ready for Work:
- Serves 3,000 students a year at Oxon Hill, Suitland and High Point high schools.
- Helps more students earn college credits and industry certifications while in high school
- Increases on-time grade promotion.
- Expands the number of students who secure meaningful internships and the number of businesses that participate in the County’s summer internship program.
- Helps local youth-serving nonprofits strengthen their capacity to serve more young people in the community.
